GATE 2026 – Eligibility, Syllabus, and Cutoff Insights

For engineers aspiring to study in premier institutes or secure jobs in top PSUs, the GATE 2026 exam is a golden opportunity. Conducted nationwide, it is highly competitive but equally rewarding.

Registration Updates

The GATE 2026 Registration Date has been extended, with the application process live on the GOAPS portal. The last date to submit applications without a late fee is October 06, 2025.

Eligibility for GATE 2026

Candidates in the final year of undergraduate engineering or science programs, as well as graduates, are eligible. No age limit has been prescribed, making it open to all age groups.

Exam Dates, Pattern, and Syllabus

The GATE 2026 Exam Dates will be announced soon. The exam is held online with three types of questions: MCQs, MSQs, and NATs.

The GATE 2026 Syllabus covers engineering mathematics, subject-specific core topics, and aptitude. Candidates must plan strategically for each subject.

GATE Cutoff and COAP Counselling

Once the exam is over, the GATE Cutoff will be released to shortlist candidates for admissions. Seat allocation for IITs and other institutes happens through COAP 2026.
