How to Recite Dua Qunoot in Witr Prayer
In the third rakโah of Witr prayer, after reciting Surah Al-Fatiha and another surah, go into rukuโ (bowing).
After rising from rukuโ, before going into sujood (prostration), raise your hands and recite Dua Qunoot.
If you follow the Hanafi school of thought, Dua Qunoot is recited before the rukuโ.
If you follow the Shafiโi, Maliki, or Hanbali schools, it is recited after the rukuโ.
Conclude your prayer as usual with the final tashahhud and salam.
Conclusion
Witr prayer is a special and blessed prayer that carries great rewards. The inclusion of Dua Qunoot and other supplications enhances the spiritual experience and strengthens the believerโs connection with Allah. By making these duas sincerely, we seek Allahโs guidance, protection, and mercy in our lives.
May Allah accept our prayers and grant us steadfastness in worship. Ameen!
